Doctorate at Fraunhofer FHR

We provide optimal conditions for writing a doctoral thesis at the institute. In 2023, Dr.-Ing. Tim Freialdenhoven completed his doctorate with us.

 

Premiere: NRW Minister of Research Ina Brandes visits Fraunhofer FHR

On October 23, 2023, Ina Brandes became the first federal minister responsible for science and research to visit the Fraunhofer FHR in the institute's history.

11th Wachtberg Forum: Radar Research in the Context of Defense, Space, and Security

State-of-the-Art Radar Applications Supporting the German Armed Forces, Industry, and Society: At the 11th Wachtberg Forum of the Fraunhofer Institute for High-Frequency Physics and Radar Technology FHR, held from June 21 to 22, 2023, the institute presented a wide range of its research results. Over 130 guests from business and defense, science, and industry attended the event at the campus in Wachtberg-Werthhoven, focused on the space surveillance radar TIRA. The program included an exhibition and technical presentations with live demonstrations. This year’s keynote was delivered by Major General Traut, Commander of the Space Command of the German Armed Forces.
