Integrated Circuits

The ‘Integrated Circuits’ department deals with research topics in the fields of terahertz circuits, biomedical sensor technology, joint communication and sensing (JCS) as well as cryogenic circuits and systems for quantum electronics.  In addition, measurement technology for cryogenic systems and for the characterisation of microchips at ultra-low temperatures is also being researched and further developed. In many of the research fields mentioned, solutions are developed using mixed-signal circuit design and, for example, adaptive transceivers at terahertz frequencies are investigated.
